WASHINGTON WIZARDS AND WIZARDS DISTRICT GAMING ANNOUNCE VIRTUAL SUMMER PROGRAMMING
Programming will begin on July 13 and run through mid-August
Washington, D.C. –The Washington Wizards will offer free virtual summer camps starting on Monday July 13. The program will offer three one-hour sessions per day for four consecutive weeks and will focus on skill development that can be done at home with minimum equipment. The virtual Wizards Basketball Academy is open to boys and girls of all ages.
“While we’re all disappointed at the cancelation of our in-person summer programming, we hope these free daily skill development sessions will be a help to kids and parents alike,” said Shannon Clancy, Sr. Manager of Youth Basketball for Monumental Sports & Entertainment.
The Wizards District Gaming Youth Academy Virtual Summer Camp, presented by Leidos, is a full day esports camp program. The program will be run in conjunction with The Game Gym, an esports training facility located in Rockville, MD. The program will focus on daily skill development, fitness, life skills, and feature virtual meet and greets with Wizards District Gaming athletes and executives. The camp is open to children ages 10 to 17 and costs $199 to register. The program will also launch on Monday, July 13.
