Thank you for a successful Winter Games 2023 and MAEC Championships, hosted at District E

We want to congratulate all of the Mid-Atlantic Esports Conference (MAEC) players and staff for an incredible 6th season!

Over the past three years, our league has grown from 11 schools to 18, and we’ve seen an increase in participation across all four of our titles.  Congratulations to all of the student-athletes who played valiantly throughout the season. Special acknowledgment goes out to the winners of this season, with an extra special call out to the University of Delaware who joined the MAEC this Fall, and now are conference champions!

It was another wonderful season that culminated at the Winter Games hosted by District E, the premier esports venue in our region, owned by Monumental Sports and Entertainment. The venue gave our players a true championship experience and the staff were fantastic to work alongside.  Special thank you to Monumental for working with us and providing us with a world-class venue for our athletes to shine.

The ability to come together and compete, learn, and enjoy high-level esports is an opportunity that the Game Gym staff worked incredibly hard to execute. Behind the scenes, our team worked all season long to provide the best experience and customer service for our players and everyone at our member schools. All aspects of the Winter Games, from the logistics, to the creative, to the broadcast were all executed in-house by our amazing team. A huge thank you to everyone involved:

Thank you to every parent, coach, fan, and school administrator who showed up to see what the LAN experience is all about and why esports, especially live esports, needs both vocal and monetary support. To execute an event like this is an honor and a privilege, and we appreciate everyone who has supported us along the way.

We look forward to the start of the MAEC’s 7th season and details on our next event, the Spring Summit, will be coming out shortly.

From everyone at Game Gym, thank you and we wish you a wonderful holiday season!
