Game Gym Brings Free Training, Tournaments to Super Smash Con 2023

Game Gym will have its largest presence ever at the event with giveaways, gaming, and family fun.

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 1, 2023–  Game Gym, an inclusive esports training platform and community, is taking its certified coaches and tournaments to Super Smash Con at the Dulles Expo Center from August 10-13. Game Gym will be hosting free-to-enter tournaments, free private training, giveaways, and family friendly activities all four days.!

“Super Smash Con is unique in that it welcomes experienced gamers and families all under the same roof,” CEO and Founder Josh Hafkin says. “Their mission aligns with our mission at Game Gym to make esports an inclusive and welcoming place for all gamers.”

Among Game Gym’s offerings this year: free 20-minute one-on-one training for all skill levels taught by certified Game Gym coaches, free-to-enter tournaments on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, face painting and balloon animals for families on Saturday, hourly giveaways, and a chance to support Children’s National Hospital.

“As a parent whose kids went through Game Gym programs, I know firsthand of Game Gym’s committment to families in the esports scene,” COO Evan Shubin says. “The fact that we have the chance to bring family friendly activities like face painting, balloon animals, and an under-18 tournament to Super Smash Con means we get to double down on our committment to young gamers and parents of gamers.”
