Game Gym Announces “DMV’s Triple Crown” – Series of Annual Online Charity Events

DMV’s Winter Games to be held each December,
DMV’s Spring Summit to be held each May,
and DMV’s Summer Bash to be held each August

Rockville, MD – October 12, 2020 – Building on the success of the DMV’s End of the Summer Bash 2020, Game Gym is pleased to announce the “DMV’s Triple Crown,” a year-round slate of three online charity events, all benefitting Children’s National Hospital and the Extra Life Foundation.

The Triple Crown is comprised of the DMV’s Winter Games, to be held each December, the DMV’s Spring Summit, to be held each May, and the DMV’s Summer Bash, to be held each August.

“Here at Game Gym, we are committed to serving the needs of our growing esports community, and our three Triple Crown events are a key part of that effort,” said Josh Hafkin, Founder and CEO of Game Gym.  “Why study if there is no test? Why train if there is no championship? We wanted to give our community reasons to train and enter tournaments, so we feel as though our Triple Crown events are vital to our community’s esports success.

Each event occurs over a long weekend, starting on Friday and concluding on Sunday, and each event includes a range of educational and entertainment content geared to kids, parents, and gamers of all ages, plus a series of tournaments in different video games with cash and other prizes.

The inaugural DMV’s End of the Summer Bash 2020 raised more than $11,000.00 for the Extra Life Foundation.  More than 700 people viewed the panels and sessions on Sunday, more than 650 people viewed the panels and sessions on Saturday, and more than 250 gamers competed in three different tournaments, with more than $2,500.00 in cash and prizes at stake.
