2019 Summer Class Schedule (June 17th – August 31st)

Smash I – M&W – 4:30-6:00 w Coach Giovanni, Coach Ariana, and Coach Johan

Smash I is for our developing Smash competitors. They are familiar with the game and are working to develop their skills and learn the ins and outs of the characters. In this course, we will cover the basics of competitive Smash and work towards competing in our own FLEX Tournament Series.

Smash II – M&W – 6:00-7:30 w Coach Giovanni

Smash II is for those who have mastered the basics and are interested in honing their craft further. These gamers will work on more advanced techniques and emphasis will be on working towards competing in Super Smash Con the weekend of August 10th.

Overwatch I – M&W – 4:30-6:00 w Coach Andy and Coach Nate

Overwatch I is for developing or new to competitive Overwatch. We will go over the basics of the game, different team compositions, roles of the different champions, and lay the foundation for playing as a team. Our goal is to learn about the different champions and what role fits your gamer best.

Overwatch II – M&W – 4:30-6:00 w Coach Andy and Coach Nate

Overwatch II is for our seasoned Overwatch competitors. These gamers know who their mains are and are grinding towards a local or online competition. They have a solid understanding of the game mechanics, game theory, and what it takes to play and win as a team.

General Esports – T&Th – 4:30-6:00  w Coach Ben and Coach Sam

Our world tour of esports, this class is for those who love gaming and esports, but aren’t quite sure what their games are yet. Over the course of the season, we will cover League of Legends, Overwatch, Super Smash Bros, Rocket League, and others. Our emphasis will be on learning the games while focusing on communication, leadership, and esportsmanship skills.

CSGO/FPS I – T&Th – 6:00-7:30 – Coach Ben Coach & Coach Cylvia

For those 14 (and up and with permission from their parents), we are offering classes in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and other FPS games like Team Fortress 2, Quake Champions, and Apex Legends. These FPS games are team-based and require skill, communication, and lightning-fast reflexes. This class will cover the basics of the games and teach the skills necessary to work together as a team.
